Installation Instructions for Honda Talon Heads-Up Display Kit

We recommend that you read over all the instruction first before proceeding. Please follow these step-by-step instructions to properly install your Heads-Up Display (HUD) kit in your Honda Talon. Ensure you have all the components provided in the kit:

Materials Required:

  1. Filler plate
  2. Gauge housing
  3. 3 x M4 screws (included in the kit)
  4. Plug and play cord (included in the kit)
  5. Basic hand tools (screwdriver)

Installation Steps:

Step 1: Remove Hood

  • Ensure your Honda Talon is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off.
  • Remove any clips or fasteners securing the hood in place.
  • Carefully lift the hood off and set it aside in a safe location.

Step 2: Take the Rear Hood Off

  • Similar to Step 1, remove any clips or fasteners securing the rear hood.
  • Carefully lift the rear hood off and set it aside in a safe location.

Step 3: Remove the Gauge Cluster from Center Console

  • Locate the gauge cluster on the center console of your Honda Talon.
  • Gently pry the gauge cluster away from the console, being cautious not to damage any wiring or connections.
  • Disconnect any wiring or connectors from the back of the gauge cluster.

Step 4: Remove Cluster from Meter Cover

  • Carefully detach the gauge cluster from its housing or meter cover.

Step 5: Screw Filler Plate into Meter Cover with the 3 M4 Screws

  • Take the filler plate included in the kit.
  • Align the filler plate with the holes on the meter cover where the gauge cluster was previously attached.
  • Secure the filler plate in place using the provided 3 M4 screws.

Step 6: Mount Gauge Housing to Steering Column

  • Remove the Live valve from dash(If you have one)
  • Take the gauge housing from the kit.
  • Position the gauge housing on the steering column
  • Secure the gauge housing in place using the fastener from the top cover of the steering column.
  • Clip the plug in Play six inch Live valve cord into your LV then clip your LV into the Gauge Housing(If you have one)
  • Make sure you plug the LV into the harness before screwing in the gauge cluster into the housing

Step 7: Put Female End of Cord into Gauge Housing

  • Locate the female end of the plug and play cord from the kit.
  • Then feed it through the back of the steering column.
  • Carefully insert the female end into the back hole of the gauge housing.

Step 8: Plug the Gauge Cluster In and Secure into the Housing

  • Reconnect the gauge cluster to the plug in play cord and screw it in to place with the three screws you have from the original placement of the gauge cluster.

Step 9: Plug into Harness

  • Plug the male end of the plug and play cord (attached to the gauge cluster) into the corresponding harness or connector.

Step 10: Enjoy Your New Heads-Up Display

  • Double-check all connections and ensure everything is securely fastened.
  • Reinstall the rear hood and the main hood.
  • Start your Honda Talon and enjoy your new heads-up display.
